About two weeks ago, I received an email from my credit card company saying there were possible fraudulent charges on my account. I am a halfway intelligent person, so I figure this email was a fraud. I check my account online and there are no charges on my credit card, so I delete the email. A couple days ago, my wife tells me she also got an email stating the same thing. I told her to delete the email and do not respond to it, "It's a scam!" Well, today I received another email about the same thing, so I decide to give my credit card company a call. (This is where the story gets funny). It turns out someone was actually TRYING to use my card to make several online purchases, one for $650 and two for $2100 each. All of the charges were declined, due to my account already being over the credit limit. I maxed out the card the first year I had it, and only pay the minimum payment, which does not even cover the finance charges each month. Even if it was at a zero balance, the limit is only $2000 so only the $650 charge could have gone through. How much of a failure at life do you have to be, to attempt to steal from someone more in debt than yourself? This person should just kill them self now. They most certainly should not reproduce. I am a Soldier in the US Army with a wife, two kids, a car payment, and a foreclosure. Stealing from me is like robbing a hot dog vendor at gunpoint (you are not going to get what you want). Hollywood has movies about people robbing banks and casinos for a reason... That is where the money is. If you are going to steal from someone, at least take the time to find out if they have any money first, otherwise you are just wasting your time. I am lucky to have more than $10 cash in my pocket at any given time. Even after payday I have just enough money to pay my bills, so even if you robbed me of my paycheck you are not really stealing from me, you are stealing from everyone I already owe money. Even Robin Hood knew to steal from the rich and give to the poor, and he is not even real.
